1. Multiple Sclerosis
Synopsis: This presentation is focusing on a particular CNS disorder, Multiple Sclerosis. It gives an in-depth explanation on the process of what is actually happening on a physical and molecular level. All the bases are covered providing a clear understanding of this disease
4. Bipolar Disorder
Synopsis: In this presentation we will be discussing Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar Disorder is a psychiatric illness which is characterized by both manic and depressive episodes. We looked into the diagnosis and treatments of this disorder, its molecular mechanisms, and how this disorder affects our body systems.
2. Addiction Disorder
Synopsis: As a group we have chosen to study the psychological, neurological and physical effects of Addiction Disorder. We will be focusing primarily on symptoms, causes, treatment, and effects on homeostasis that occurs with different addictions. Another area where we will go more into depth is how the treatment is effective in helping to cure the disorder.
5. Anxiety and Depression: A Comparison
Synopsis: In this presentation we focused on Depression and Anxiety, only two of the many Mental disorders with relation and effects of the Central Nervous System. We compared these two disorders to find out the answer as to why these two disorders tend to go hand in hand.
3. An Overview of ADHD
Synopsis: This presentation will give a general overview of ADHD, dive deeper into its effects on specific body systems and go into detail on how it is diagnosed.
6. Alzheimer's Disease
Synopsis: Alzheimer’s disease is a neurological disorder in which the death of cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline. This is a serious CNS (Central Nervous System) disorder and its effects are harmful. In this presentation we will be focusing mainly on the causes, symptoms, treatments, of Alzheimer’ and its effect on other systems of the body.
