In the next few days, we'll be exploring examples of organisms in the Lab that illustrate much of what we've been studying this semester. Dissection groups will be formed, and options will be given as follows: [A] Rat (max. 3/class) [B] Pig (max. 3/class) [C] Heart & Starfish (max. 3/class) [D] Brain & Frog (max. 3/class) [E] Kidney & Perch (max. 3/class)
The primary outcome of your Dissection experience will be to connect what you have learned in your coursework with the organism/organism part being provided.
Please note the following important guidelines: 1. ALL organisms (in whole or in part) are to be treated with dignity and respect throughout our dissection procedures. No cutting needlessly! 2. Keep your work area clean! Remember that NO FOOD is permitted in the Lab, and that your hands and work table must be washed at the conclusion of each dissection session. 3. Remember that you must choose either a) to record all your results in the online form (copy/record the URL!), or b) to create a video recording (instructional video) of your results.
